Hey y’all! I’m Ashley.
I’m a sleep-deprived, over-caffeinated former teacher turned reluctantly-homeschooling stay-at-home mom who loves the mountains and college football. (Go, Seminoles!)
I’m married to my superhero husband, Jacob, who is a pediatric ICU nurse. We were just living a quiet life in Georgia with our three kids and our black lab until March of 2018. That’s when Jacob got an out-of-the-blue phone call from a travel nurse recruiter.
Before we knew it, we were packing up our ancient minivan and heading to coastal Connecticut for the summer. It felt both insane and chaotic, but also like everything suddenly clicked into place for us.
We were hooked on the travel lifestyle.
Fast-forward one more assignment in Connecticut and another in North Carolina, and we have gone all in. We sold our house and almost all our stuff. We downsized from a few thousand square feet to a few hundred. We packed all our big personalities, big voices, and big feelings into a tiny camper and headed out into the great, wild yonder.
There will be a steep learning curve because we know nothing about RVs or campers. We basically just closed our eyes, grabbed hands, and jumped into this new lifestyle without much prep.
